Duplicating Offerings

Offerings are the programs offered within a CALP community. Offerings belong under the same Learning Opportunity category if all of these conditions are true:

  • they have the same or similar outcomes (i.e. Navigating the Internet and Word for Beginners may both be found under the Learning Opportunity category of Basic Digital Skills)
  • they occur in the same location (i.e. each time the program is offered it is in Anytown)
  • they occur over the same time frame (i.e. for 6 weeks each)
  • they have the same mode of delivery (i.e. learning activity)
  • they have the same fee

Each Offering "expires" at the end of the funding cycle and must be duplicated for use in the next grant year. To duplicate an Offering:

Select Offerings from the database menu

Select Offering from DB Menu

Click the All text fields button and select Learning Opportunity. Type the current learning opportunity (not the new duplicate) in the search field and click Search.

Update any necessary details to bring the offering up-to-date (i.e. dates and times). You may also want to change the offering title to make it easier to search later.

Click Submit

Register learners in the new offering for the current cycle year.

IMPORTANT NOTE: as of July 2, 2026, hitting submit returns an error message saying there’s no learning opportunity selected. Ignore the message and go back to the Offerings page. The newly duplicated offering will be listed when you search the 2026-2027 cycle. This issue is with the developers and will be corrected as soon as possible.
